Here are some of our favorite recipes:

Our version of Italian Grilled Chicken Wings is as simple as it is delicious. All you need are 2 pounds of chicken wings, one cup of KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing, and ½ cup of your favorite barbecue sauce.

Pour the dressing over the chicken in a large bowl and coat evenly. Next, refrigerate for at 30 minutes to allow the chicken to fully marinate in the dressing. While the chicken is marinating, preheat your Z Grill to 400 degrees. Drain the chicken and grill for eight minutes on each side, checking for doneness. Brush with the barbecue sauce and grill for 2 more minutes, allowing for a sticky sweet crusty topping. Remove from the grill and enjoy!

Garlic and Honey Glazed Pork Chops are another favorite you and your friends and family are sure to enjoy. Grab 4-6 pork chops about ½” to ¾” in thickness. Next gather ½ cup of honey, 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, two pressed garlic cloves, and salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat your Z Grill to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, and garlic. Next, brush the olive oil over both sides of the pork chops and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place chops on the grill and brush with the honey mixture. Grill for 8 minutes on each side (or until internal temperature reaches 170 F), brushing the honey mixture on each side when you flip. Brush a final layer of honey mixture on the pork chops and enjoy!

About These Recipes

Pellet grills offer a great option of letting the grill do the work. Similar to an outdoor oven, they do an excellent job at slow cooking and locking in moisture and flavor. Add this to the addition of a subtle smoky flavor, and you’ve found your favorite way to cook.

Pellet grills are fueled with cylindrical food-grade wooden pellets that are comprised of compressed hardwood sawdust. The sawdust that makes up these pellets is exposed to heat and high pressure. This activates an element known as lignin, which is a natural glue in the wood. These pellets burn clean and leave very little ash, making cleanup a breeze.

The consistency pellet grills provide is second to none. With convection heat distribution, your food cooks evenly each and every time. It also stops flare-ups and controls the risk of over-smoking your food. This means you can expect more consistent and mouth-watering dishes no matter the time of year.

Wood pellet grills are also highly versatile. Z Grills, for example, carries products that allow you to grill, bake, smoke, braise, sear, and barbecue. You can expect a product that requires far less labor to maintain and, because of its digital temperature control and automatic pellet feeder, your temperature is controlled on its own. This means you can set a timer and go, grab a cold one and chat with your company, or go inside and watch the game. The flexibility, convenience, and improved taste go to show how valuable these grills can be.

What Makes These Recipes So Good?

There are many factors that come into play that make food prepared on a pellet grill taste so good. First, the ability to cook evenly and prevent over-smoking is paramount. The smoke flavor that you do get is subtler than the harsh and sometimes bitter smoke you get from traditional wood or charcoal. The positioning of the wood is also an option. Should you prefer more of a smoky flavor, you just need to place your favorite hardwood chunks or poaches of soaked wood chips directly on the heat diffuser plate. Should you prefer a less smoky flavor, just avoid this step and/or choose a more neutral wood pellet.

Pellets are available in several different flavors so you can be sure to find an option that best suits even the pickiest of eaters. Flavors like pecan, hickory, alder, mesquite, apple, maple, and more can be mixed together or changed in a matter of moments. The traditional 20-pound bag can be used for several different meals.
Slow cooking is the key to keeping your food moist and tender. By cooking your food slowly, you bring up the temperature in the center with less risk of overcooking the outside. This process minimizes the loss of juices and fat, locking in the moist and flavorful juices that make outdoor cooking so special.

Oftentimes, using less expensive cuts of meat can taste just as good – if not better – than more traditionally expensive cuts of meat. The secret is to cook it long and slow. That’s it! Z Grills wood pellet technology offers you the ability to lock in flavor with any cut of meat, giving you the wood fire flavor at the ease of propane or gas and the convenience of a “set it and forget it” slow-cooker.

Things To Keep In Mind When Using These Z Grill Recipes

When you are researching recipes for your Z Grill, always recognize that you have flexibility when it comes to portions and sizing. If you are looking to feed a larger family or a smaller family, all that is necessary is adjusting the amount of ingredients the recipe calls for. For example, if two pounds of chicken wings are twice as much as you can handle, simply cut it down to one pound of chicken wings and divide the remaining ingredients in half! The same principle applies to doubling the amount of the recipes.

No matter how you choose to size your portions, always be aware that any recipe you choose to follow is just a guideline. We encourage you to find your own flavors by utilizing the freedom within these frameworks. Surprise your family with more and more unique items. We promise you will receive little to no complaints!
